Chief Executive Officer
Phil qualified as a chartered accountant with Ernst & Young in 1991 before joining Hess in 1996. He served in a variety of roles including Head of Finance, North West Europe. After leaving Hess in 2002 he set up CH4 Energy with two other ex-Hess colleagues. Phil was joint MD of CH4 which, with financial backing from 3i plc and Trust Company of the West (''TCW'') (an EIG predecessor firm), they acquired and operated the Markham field and associated satellites on the UK/Dutch median line. Phil founded Chrysaor in 2007 and has led the group since then.
Phil has been a member of the Board of Oil and Gas UK since 2013 and is currently Operator Council Co-Chair and Vice Chair of the Board. He has recently completed his time with OGA as co-chair of their UK Exploration Board, one of six boards responsible for driving the industry's response to the OGA strategy and Sir Ian Wood's MER vision. Phil continues his work with OGA as a member of the overarching industry body, the MER UK Forum, which includes the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, Ministers from the same department, HM Treasury, the Scottish Office and the Scottish government.
Chief Financial Officer
Andrew joined Chrysaor as Chief Financial Officer in 2012. Previously he had over 20 years Capital Markets experience in Investment Banking, latterly as a Managing Director responsible for Merrill Lynch’s Natural Resources Equity Capital Markets and Broking business. Andrew has worked on a significant number of oil and gas transactions for both public and private companies. He has acted as an advisor to most members of the UK E&P Independent sector and has unrivalled experience in advising early stage E&P companies which went on to create significant returns for shareholders.

On completion of his doctorate, Robert joined Amerada Hess in 1987 developing his career though a series of exploration, development and technical expert roles. He was Reservoir Development Manager for Hess’s operated South Arne Field in Denmark (1997-2000) and Global Quality Assurance Manager for Geoscience & Exploration (2000-2003). In 2003 he joined CH4 as Technical Director, and subsequently co-founded Chrysaor in 2007.
Bob joined Chrysaor in late 2016 as Operations Director. He is a Chartered Engineer with a MSc/DIC in Petroleum Engineering from Imperial College and a BSc (Hons) in Civil Engineering from Leeds University. Bob spent the first twenty years of his career working in increasingly senior drilling and completion roles within BP, Elf, Transocean and finally Nexen. At Nexen he moved into Operations Management and over the next ten years served in a variety of senior positions initially as VP Operations, Yemen followed then by three years as Director, UK Operations; where from 2010 to 2013 he was responsible for over 200mboepd of gross production and $2billion of annual expenditure. From September 2013 to early 2015 he was VP, Global Deepwater supporting all of Nexen’s and CNOOC’s international deepwater operations. He was then appointed VP, Oil Sands for Nexen in Canada where, as with the UK, he was responsible for over 1,000 direct employees and contractors.
Not only has Bob significant operational experience but he has also led or been closely involved in a number of successful transformational initiatives from the nationalisation of the Yemen operations, through the growth of Nexen UK from 20 people to being the largest UK oil producer and more recently with delivering fundamental changes to the Canadian Oil Sands operating model.

Wells & Subsea Director
Karl has a 1st class MEng in Civil & Geotechnical Engineering from Newcastle University. He has over 20 years of UK and International oilfield experience in drilling, completions, well services and management. This was gained at Schlumberger as Field Engineer, HSEQ and Field Service Manager (1990–1997), TEAM Energy Resources as SDE and Well Construction Manager (1997–2003), Eni as SDE / Markham Project Manager (2003-2004) and CH4 as Drilling Manager (2004-2007). Karl then spent a year as Petrofac Energy Drilling Manager (2007) prior to joining Chrysaor as a founding Director in late 2007. Karl also leads the Oil & Gas UK work group on Relief Well Planning.

Mark joined Chrysaor in January 2011. He is a career HSEQ professional with extensive worldwide experience. Mark has a Masters Degree in risk management and safety technology from Aston University and the internationally recognised NEBOSH OHS Diploma. He is a chartered member of the institute of occupational safety and health. He started his working career as a naval cadet and rose to the rank of Chief Officer before moving in to HSEQ and operational advisory roles at Maersk. He was responsible for UK HSEQ at Maersk Contractors including their drilling rig and FPSO fleet and their respective safety cases. From 2000 to 2006 he was International Division EHS Manager at Burlington Resources and latterly was Group HSEQ Manager for E.ON Ruhrgas North Sea. Mark's career in the marine and oil and gas industries has spanned over 35 years and he is active in supporting the UK oil and gas industry through a variety of specialist industry work groups.

Corinne holds an MSc from Robert Gordon University and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. Corinne has over 20 years’ experience within Human Resources with extensive merger, acquisition, divestment and change management experience both internationally and UK wide. Corinne started her career with BP and held senior positions across many global oil and gas organisations including Kerr McGee, Maersk, Centrica, and latterly EnQuest - where she was instrumental in the integration of Petrofac and Lundin staff. Corinne also ran her own HR Consultancy supporting small international oil and gas independent organisations including Endeavour Energy and Verus Petroleum.
Outside Operated Assets Director
Steve joined Chrysaor from Shell in October 2017 and is accountable for ensuring maximum outside operated asset value through aligning with Operator and delivering business plan targets for HSE, integrity, production, project delivery, reserves and costs.
At Shell Steve was Vice President – Operated Assets at BG Group with extensive experience over Everest & Lomond. Steve has spent many years within the Shell organisation in a variety of roles including Asset Analyst, Project Management, Senior cost planning and as Asset Manager (Lomond) where he was responsible for Safety, Operational and Commercial performance of the overall asset, e for the delivery of the business plan as well as managing the teams on and offshore to ensure effective maintenance of the operational procedures.

General Counsel/Company Secretary
Howard joined Chrysaor as General Counsel in early 2017, following more than 10 years at BG Group where he led a team of lawyers responsible for the group’s corporate and M&A matters globally. Howard spent most of the previous two years working closely with BG Group’s senior executive team on the $50bn transaction with Shell and then, for Shell, on transition and business development matters. Howard trained and qualified at the international law firm, Clifford Chance, and is responsible for the legal affairs of Chrysaor as well as acting as Company Secretary.
Commercial and Business Development Director
Michael joined Chrysaor as Commercial and Business Development Director in June 2017. He initially joined the industry as a geophysicist 20 years ago, but quickly developed a taste for the commercial side of the business after completing a PhD and working as an analyst for a management consultancy. Since then, he has held a variety of commercial and business development roles at Total, EnQuest, Centrica and, most recently BG Group, where he was the Portfolio and Business Development Manager for Europe E&P as well as working on the integration of BG’s UK upstream business with Shell. Michael holds degrees in Civil Engineering and Oceanography as well as a PhD in Geophysics.
